On February 6, 2024, State Police members arrested Barbra J. Goodreau, age 35, of Ogdensburg, NY for possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.

On December 20, 2023, at approximately 3:27 p.m., Troopers received a fraud complaint that occurred at County Route 6, in the town of Hammond. An investigation determined Goodreau was at the residence on County Route 6, Hammond, NY when she stole checks. Further investigation determined Goodreau went into a bank in Ogdensburg, NY, on three different occasions cashing three different checks for a total of $400.00. As the Troopers investigated the incident more Goodreau was incarcerated at St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility for a different incident. Troopers requested an arrest warrant for Goodreau and an order to produce, so she could be arrested on the new charges.

On February 6, 2024, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department transported Goodreau to SP Ogdensburg for processing. She was arraigned in the City of Ogdensburg Court where she was remanded back to St. Lawrence Country Correctional Facility without bail.
