JAC Riga Port participating Shadow day

This year Junior Achievement Latvia's annual event "Shadow Day" took place on 4 April across Latvia. Continuing the tradition, JSC "RIGA PORT" organised activities that support young people's desire to learn more about port operations in the logistics and freight transport industry.

Students had the opportunity to learn about professions and the experience of employees in the cargo handling sector, not only in the company's offices and warehouses. Despite the rainy weather, they had the chance to weigh themselves on the cargo scales, see port machinery and a railway shunting locomotive at work, and watch the loading process from the ship's bridge.
