Project Information for the Roadway Improvements along County C, Town of Chase, in Oconto County

Oconto County is holding a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements on County C between the Brown County Line Road and CTH S in the Town of Chase.

The meeting is planned for Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at the Chase Town Hall located at 8481 County Rd S, Pulaski, WI 54162. This will be an open house style meeting between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Interested persons are urged to attend, ask questions, and provide comments.

The existing asphaltic pavement along the roadway is in poor condition and has reached the end of its service life. There is extensive longitudinal, transverse, and alligator cracking, settling, and rutting which has resulted in a rough ride and ponding of water during snow melt and rain events. The proposed improvements will include pulverizing the existing pavement with a new asphaltic surface added. The existing intersections will be widened slighted to increase the turning area for vehicles including new curb and gutter. The existing guard rail will also be upgraded to meet current standards.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the proposed improvements and provide input. This meeting will specifically discuss the proposed typical sections, project schedule, traffic control, and to gather input from the public on these improvements. Project maps and other information will be on display with County and design team staff available to discuss the proposed improvements and answer questions.

For additional information about the proposed improvements, interested persons may contact Rich Glen, design project manager, JT Engineering at (920) 606-6288 or send e-mail to [email protected].
