Members of NASUWT-The Teachers' Union at Co-op Academy Swinton will be taking the first of five planned days of strike action tomorrow (Wednesday).
They will be taking strike action due to adverse management practices affecting workload, working practices, pupil behaviour, and failure to consult.

Dr Patrick Roach, General Secretary of the NASUWT, said:
"Our members are deeply committed to this school, their students, and the community, but much of this is now being put at risk by excessive working hours, shorter lunchtimes, and the imposition of unacceptable practices with regard to teaching and learning and teachers' performance management.
"We have been in talks with the Trust for many months, offering several compromises which could have avoided industrial action.
"The NASUWT remains firmly committed to a reaching an agreed resolution to this dispute."
Jac Casson, NASUWT National Executive Member for Manchester, said:
"While the Trust has made some concessions, following a series of talks, they do not go far enough to improve the working conditions of our members.
"Obstacles remain to our members being able to do their best for students, and go above and beyond, as they always have done.
"Contrary to Co-Op values, and the approach of any good employer, our members have had changes to their jobs and working hours imposed upon them, despite clear evidence to show the negative impact this will have on staff and the learning of students.
"We now call on the trust to live up to their Co-Op values and work with us meaningfully to resolve this dispute."
