SCU arrests four during search warrant that located drugs, guns, and cash

Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit works in concert with communities to help solve issues and is funded by the City of Eugene's Community Safety Payroll Tax. On January 23, SCU officers initiated a search warrant in the 300 block of Clark Street after a narcotics delivery investigation based on community complaints.

At around 11:16 a.m. on January 23, SCU with a small contingent of EPD SWAT officers served the warrant and officers located and seized evidence to include more than a pound of methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, and more than $25,000 in cash. Eugene resident Kim Irwin Matzen, age 65, was charged with Unlawful Possession/ Delivery of Methamphetamine- Commercial Drug Offense and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Eugene resident William Taylor Webb, age 67, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Additionally, two wanted people were contacted and lodged at the Lane County Jail.
