"Farm Bureau Insurance is proud, once again, to be part of this prestigious list," said CEO Don Simon. "It a tribute to our employees' continuing commitment to a positive and supportive culture. It's because of them that we've been recognized by the Free Press seven of the last eight years."

On November 15th, 16 Farm Bureau employees attended the 2023 Free Press Top Workplace award banquet at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. The banquet recognized the top workplaces in Michigan across several categories.

For the 16th year, The Free Press partnered with Philadelphia-based Energage, an employee research and culture technology firm, to determine the winners. After being nominated, companies were invited to have their employees participate in a survey regarding issues related to workplace culture. Employee survey feedback was the sole basis for determining winners and rankings. The survey also gave participating companies insights about what makes them unique and served as the ultimate test of how employers are responding to the ever-changing work environment. In 2023, approximately 6,700 applicants participated were nominated for awards.

This year, Farm Bureau Insurance ranked #6 in the large workplace's category among other corporations in Michigan like Plante Moran, Real Estate One, and MSU Federal Credit Union.
