The maintenance of drainage structures is fairly important hence the Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways has started works in various drainage schemes across the Western Division.
Flood gates and flap gates maintenance is carried out effectively to prevent flooding during heavy rains. These flood gates and flap gates play a critical role in controlling the flow of water and protecting surrounding areas from potential damage.<_o3a_p>

Regular inspections and repairs are key to maintaining the efficiency of these systems and ensuring they operate as intended when needed most.
