Environment: The Airport obtains its ACA level 2 renewal

The Airport is taking advantage of the ACTION AND AWARENESS WEEK "JPEUX PAS J'AI CLIMAT " to announce the renewal of its level 2 Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA2)!

"Jpeux pas, j'ai climat" is a week of action and awareness on the ecological transition organized from 25 to 30 March 2024 by the Civil Service Agency and the Ecological Transition Agency (ADEME), with the association Unis-Cité, founding partner, and the support of many organizations welcoming young people engaged in Civic Service.

Limoges Airport has been committed to reducing its carbon emissions since 2021, thanks to the implementation of an energy sobriety plan. The beginning of 2024 was marked by the renewal of its level 2, obtaining the Airport Carbon Accreditation 2 certification.

This commitment to ecological transition requires concrete actions, resulting in immediate reductions in its emissions:

• LED passage of the entire runway lighting, as well as all buildings and car parks,
• progressive replacement of track equipment with electrical equipment,
• improvement of the thermal insulation of buildings, notably by installing more efficient double glazing,
• encourage biodiversity on the platform.
  

Other projects will be launched soon, thus enhancing this approach and being part of the long term.
