Parks and Recreation Week in Review
Summer Basketball League
Registration for our Summer Basketball, opens Wednesday March 13 at 8 a.m. for League City. The league season runs May 20 to August 2 and is open girls and boys ages 5 to 14 years old. The registration fee for League City residents $85. Practices and games will be held Monday-Friday. There will be 2 weeks of practices then games will start. All games and practices will be held at Hometown Heroes Park.
Taste of Code Ninjas
We are currently offering Taste of Code Ninja classes. Unleash your child's imagination. Create, play and learn at their own pace as they gain skills in coding and problem solving. Learn to code and have a blast while building awesome video games. Get support and encouragement from our instructors.
- Taste of Code Ninjas: Mondays, March 18 to April 8 from 6-7 p.m. for kids 6-14 years. The session fee is $125. Register today!
How Tea is Made
Sip, savor, and discover at our 'How Tea Is Made' workshop! Dive into the art of tea-making, uncover the health benefits of unique herbs, and brew up some fun vibes! Join us for a tea-rrific time blending flavors and creating memories. This experience promises a perfect blend of knowledge and enjoyment; because tea is not just a drink, it's an experience!
Join us for the next class on March 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. This class is open to ages 12 and older The session fee is $35.
Safe Sitter
Designed to prepare students to be safe when they're home along, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. The next class will be held on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This class is open to ages 10 to 14. The session fee is $75.
Winning the Job Search
Get your dream job! This workshop takes a deep dive into the job search process from start to finish. Learn the most effective resume writing techniques, interview skills and salary negotiation strategies to set you up for success. Sign up for a 1 hour, one-on-one session. Sessions will be offered between 12 and 4 p.m.

Come learn these skills and more! Join us for our upcoming Winning the Job Search workshop on March 23 at the Community Center. Registration is $35 per person and class is open to everyone 15 and older. This workshop will be taught by Rebecca Damas.
