KENNESAW, Ga.- After pouring in 55 combined points against in-state foes Mercer and Georgia Southern, junior was named the ASUN Player of the Week, the league announced today.A quick, shifty, score-first guard that proved nearly impossible to defend, Street posted 23 points while also securing six rebounds and two assists against Mercer on Wednesday (Nov. 13). Deadly from the free-throw line, she buried nine of her 10 attempts during the contest.
A special night for Street on her home court, the Atlanta, Ga., native surpassed 1,000 career points against the Bears, becoming just the fourth player in KSU Division I history to amass the total.
She did not slow down against the Eagles, as she led the Owls to a 95-69 victory over Georgia Southern on Sunday (Nov. 17). Her 32 points, four assists and five steals helped guide Kennesaw State to three-straight victories while improving its record to 3-1.
After earned the accolade a week ago, Kennesaw State has racked up the first two ASUN Player of the Week awards for the 2019-20 season.
After six days off, the Owls return to the court at UNC Wilmington on Nov. 23. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
