Killingbeck and Seacroft NPT Officers Disrupt Offenders During Neighbourhood Policing Week

Friday 26th January 2024

The Killingbeck and Seacroft Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), have conducted proactive and targeted enforcement patrols between the 23rd - 25th January 2024 as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week.

Officers deployed across The Brooklands, South Parkway and North Parkway, in response to a rise in burglary and vehicle crime offences. A total of twenty individuals were stopped and asked to account for their presence in the locality, of which ten were searched and the deployments resulted in the arrests of two adult males.

The first adult male was sighted, stopped, and arrested for recall to prison.

The second adult male was disrupted by officers, whilst suspected to be supplying drugs. Following a short foot chase, the adult male was detained, searched, and subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.

Officers also tactically deployed a stinger, following the sighting of a stolen motorcycle and also disrupted anti-social motorcycle use.

Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Teams continue to tackle and address the local priorities across the ward, and we will continue to pursue those involved in serious and organised criminality and anti-social activities, that blight the communities we serve.

If you do have any information or concerns about organised criminal activity, please contact West Yorkshire Police. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
