Adobe and Warriors partner to introduce Homegrown Series at Chase Center

At Adobe, we believe that when more stories are told, the world becomes a more equal and vibrant place. Our brand partnerships are an important opportunity to highlight the intersection of creativity and sports in a unique way, giving fans, creators, and athletes alike access to the platforms and communities needed to support their creativity. As a Founding Partner of Chase Center in San Francisco, Adobe and the Golden State Warriors are coming together to create the Homegrown Series, a rotating art exhibit within the broader Chase Center Art Collection presented by Adobe. Together, we are highlighting our strong connection to the local creative community, with art that is inspired by the Bay Area's spirit, diversity, and culture.

"Sport and entertainment is a universal passion, and in any country and in any language, it offers a constant source of conversation, community, and connection," Amit Singh, Sr. Dir, Global Brand Marketing, Corporate Marketing at Adobe, said. "Through Adobe's collaboration with the Warriors and Chase Center, we're proud to showcase and recognize the profound cultural impact sports, entertainment, and art have in uniting people and celebrating creativity."

Meet our Homegrown Artists

To launch the Homegrown Series, two pieces of art will be showcased in the West Concourse of Chase Center where fans can easily see the creative pieces as they traverse the arena's busiest area. Monica Canilao and Xara Thustra, together known as MCXT, and Odell Hussey, are our first artists to be featured in the launch of the new series.

A Thirst for Stars by Monica Canilao

Monica Canilao was inspired by the Bay Area's dynamic resilience and communities. This piece, created in collaboration with Xara Thrustra, acknowledges collective histories and customs using Adobe Photoshop to weave them into a tapestry of optimism for a more sustainable future and a better world. Using acrylic, spray paint, repurposed wood, paper collage, and other materials, this piece comes together to create a captivating, textured design on mirrored panels. 'A Thirst for Stars' represents "our interconnectedness as we seek justice, balance, and freedom in a beautiful yet suffering world."

Golden Rhythms by Odell Hussey

Odell Hussey is a cosmic collage artist, animator, & Machine Learning Curator. His remarkable, digital collage, "Golden Rhythms," was created with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Firefly, and Adobe Stock. This piece of art embodies the active energy of Chase Center and the Bay Area, capturing the unique combination of lights, music, and community that distinguish this renowned cultural center.

On Friday April 5, both artists, their families and friends all gathered at Chase Center to witness the unveiling of their art, admire their work and revel in their creativity. We are incredibly excited for the Homegrown Series to become a staple at the arena. Be sure to check out these inspired pieces the next time you catch a game or a show at Chase Center!
