Kantar expands Spanish beauty panel to 22,000 shoppers

Barcelona, 28 February 2024: Kantar, the world's leading marketing data and analytics company, today announces it has expanded its Worldpanel Beauty Panel, which tracks beauty product purchase behaviour in Spain, to cover 22,000 individuals, an increase of 10%. This increase will help brands, manufacturers and retailers to gain a deeper understanding of the country's beauty shoppers, as well as the categories in the market.

This enhancement, in combination with Kantar's powerful data collection methodology and expert analytics teams, will mean greater data granularity for clients. The accuracy, depth of insights, and analytical capabilities of the service will all be boosted, thanks to the additional panel members using barcode scanning functionality to capture detailed and accurate product information. This will enable clients to get faster and more flexible insights on brands and retailers, in response to sector dynamics.

Commenting on the development, Jorge Folch, Executive Managing Director EMEA, Worldpanel Division, Kantar, said: "These enhancements to our beauty panel in Spain are part of Kantar's goal of delivering the most meaningful data to our clients. Brands and retailers will now be better able to make connections between different consumer dynamics - how they buy, how they think, and how they are impacted by different media, enabling them to better shape their business strategy."
