Go wild in Oakmere Park this Easter!

Young people in Potters Bar are set to go 'wild' this Easter, thanks to a new wildlife and nature inspired play experience in the heart of the town.

Hertsmere Borough Council has renovated the toddler play area in Oakmere Park, creating a fully inclusive and engaging play space for children of all abilities aged eight and under.

The new playground has 14 new items of equipment with a separate space for toddlers and juniors. It has been designed with all young people in mind and includes wheelchair accessible play equipment.

Ian Kershaw, Head of Street Scene, said: "Oakmere Park is a key open space in the heart of Potters Bar and these improvements have created a great place for families with young children to get outside and have fun without having to spend anything. Perfect for the Easter holidays!

"Our aim was to provide interesting equipment and an exciting environment, whilst being inclusive for all abilities, to encourage physical and social play all year round, something I feel we have achieved. I really hope our young people enjoy the new play space during the school holiday."
