City of Longmont hosting update meeting on Third Avenue improvements

March 23, 2023 - The City of Longmont will host a public meeting on Thursday, April 6 to share information about upcoming improvement projects on Third Avenue between Main Street and Sunset Street. The meeting is open to the public and will run from 5:30-7 pm in the Longmont Public Library first floor meeting room, 409 Fourth Avenue.

The event will feature an overview presentation about the following projects:

• Updates on planned improvements along Third Avenue between Main Street and Sunset Street, including storm drainage, asphalt and concrete rehabilitation, traffic mitigation, parking and new crosswalk locations.
• Project updates on the status of the Coffman Street Busway project, the Boston Avenue Bridge project and the Price Park Tank project.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the scopes, schedules and potential traffic impacts of the projects. All these projects aim to improve safety, mobility and access to critical resources for residents and businesses throughout Longmont.
