APRR signs an unprecedented cooperation agreement with Seine-et-Marne Department

This is a first for a motorway company. APRR and the Seine-et-Marne Department recently concluded an original and proactive cooperation agreement.
It aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the territory, boost its economy while promoting sustainable mobility.

On September 14, Philippe Nourry, Chairman of APRR, and Jean-François Parigi, Chairman of the Department of Seine-et-Marne, signed an ambitious cooperation agreement, in Blandy-les-Tours castle (77).

It consists of increasing the attractiveness of the Seine-et-Marnais territory, strengthening economic dynamics and promoting the mobility of tomorrow.

To do this, new services and equipment will be offered to customers of the Seine-et-Marne motorway network.

In the background, it is also a matter of promoting sustainable, attractive and carbon-free mobility. In addition, integration and employment are at the heart of this long-term partnership.

Three strategic motorway axes

Seine-et-Marne is the largest department in Île-de-France with an area of 5,915 km2. Located to the south-east of Paris, it is crossed by three strategic axes of the APRR network, namely the A5, the A6 and the A77 motorways.

Jean-François Parigi is delighted with the signing of this five-year partnership agreement with APRR: "The departmental executive is mobilizing the major economic players in Seine-et-Marne to work together on the development and attractiveness of our area. This is why we have entered into partnership agreements with ADP, Disney, Villages nature, Orange, the Chamber of Agriculture, and today with Paris-Rhin-Rhône motorways!".

Promote tourist and cultural places

The Department intends to promote the major tourist and cultural sites crossed by APRR motorways through the deployment, in 2022 and 2023, of renovated and modernized motorway signage.
This partnership with APRR thus provides for the installation of 35 brown panels encouraging the discovery of emblematic places.

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the Ile de loisirs de Buthiers, the Museum of the Great War in Meaux or even towns such as Nemours, Blandy-les-Tours, Crécy-la-Chapelle or Provins will soon have their new panels.

In addition, it is planned to develop signage and tourist activities in the service and rest areas of the network from summer 2023: promotion of local sites, presentation of the local offer, sale of regional specialties and entertainment during school holidays.

Promoting integration

In addition, APRR will relay or support certain policies of the Department, in particular by promoting the integration of young people, people with disabilities and beneficiaries of the active solidarity income (RSA).

As such, APRR is committed to contributing to the integration of these groups into its scope of expertise by supporting recruitment, integration through employment and integration through social clauses in works.

The long run

Philippe Nourry explains: "Our common desire to respond to the challenges of our time has enabled us to seal the foundations of this unprecedented cooperation agreement. Together, I am sure, we will be able to continue to develop solutions to the issues of carbon-free mobility, integration, employment and tourist attractiveness, for example through the deployment of new tourist signage and culture on the highways that cross Seine-et-Marne. »

The chairman of APRR concludes: " Let's do it together, now !"
