Las Cruces Utilities Names Two New Assistant Directors

Carl Clark and Domonique Rodriguez have been named to key administrative positions within Las Cruces Utilities (LCU).

Clark and Rodriguez are now the Assistant Utilities Directors.

As Assistant Utilities Director, Clark, a Professional Engineer, will be responsible for water, wastewater, and gas operations. He also will be involved with LCU's technical support, supervisory control and data acquisition, operations engineers, technicians, LCU's Geographic Information System, water conservation, and environmental issues such as industrial pollution prevention, and the utility's Water Quality Laboratory, and regulatory analyst.

"I am proud to be in a position where I can both grow and learn the Utility Operations and continue to look for efficiencies in our business, so that we can continue to provide low-cost, reliable utility services to our customers," Clark said. "I want to bring new ideas and technology to make our utility more efficient and sustainable."

Clark has been with the City of Las Cruces for more than 20 years. Initially, he joined the City as a construction project manager in the Construction Administration for the Public Works Department. Clark then transferred to LCU where he worked in construction management for special utility projects. He was promoted to Deputy Director of Environmental and Technical Support.

As Assistant Utilities Director, Rodriguez's new duties will focus on the business aspects of LCU.
