Nominations open for University Staff Senate

Marquette University's Staff Senate is seeking nominations for its upcoming election.

There is one opening for an academic senator, one for an administrative senator and five openings for at-large.

To be elected, an employee must:

  • Be full-time or regular part-time with a primary designation of staff
  • Have been employed by Marquette for at least one year as of May 1
  • Not be represented by a collective bargaining unit

Interested individuals can nominate themselves. The nominations form is open Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 24. Elections will be held Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 28. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

University Staff Senate is a group of elected individuals who represent Marquette University staff so that their views and interests may be considered, alongside those of faculty and students, in the conduct of institutional affairs that affect life in the workplace and in the advancement of the university's mission.
