Vladimir Putin was updated on flood situation in Orenburg, Kurgan and Tyumen regions

Vladimir Putin received reports on the flood situation from governors of three regions - the Orenburg, Kurgan and Tyumen regions. A separate report was presented by Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov Kurenkov AlexanderMinister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Natural Disaster Relief, who once again arrived at the site to monitor the relief effort as chairman of the government commission on flood relief and assistance to the residents of the flooded areas.

In addition, following a telephone conversation between the President of Russia and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Tokayev Kassym-JomartPresident of the Republic of Kazakhstanearlier today, instructions were issued to the prime ministers of both countries to take the situation under control and ensure bilateral coordination in order to synchronise flood control efforts and flood loss management.
