TOYO TIRE Signs Partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers

HYOGO, JAPAN - TOYO TIRE CORPORATION (HQ:Hyogo, Japan CEO:Takashi Shimizu) announces that its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, TOYO TIRE U.S.A. CORP.(Costa Mesa, California CEO:Michael Graber)has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Major League Baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers are one of the most prestigious teams in Major League Baseball, and the organization has a long history with Japan, from goodwill tours dating back to the 1950s to the prominent roles of Japanese stars. Dodger Stadium, the team's home field, boasts the world's highest attendance in professional sports with approximately 4 million people annually, and the team has 120 million fans worldwide.

TOYO TIRE entered the U.S. market in 1966, ahead of other Japanese tire makers in the industry promoting sales of automotive tires. In 2004, its automotive tire production subsidiary (current Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc.) is being established in Georgia. TOYO TIRE has a strong presence in large-diameter size tires for SUV and pickup trucks in the North American Market.

Having continued to build bridges between Japan and the U.S. in the tire business, TOYO TIRE has decided partner with the Dodgers for five years. TOYO TIRES will support the Dodgers by displaying the TOYO TIRES branding on signage inside Dodger Stadium and on media backdrops.
