Registration open for inaugural Memorial Weekend Criterium in Lewisville

Cycling fans, now is your time. Registration is now open for the Memorial Weekend Criterium, presented by King Racing Power, to be held May 27-28, for the first time, at Music City Mall Lewisville, 2401 S. Stemmons Freeway, in Lewisville.

One of the top cycling promoters in Texas, King Racing Group is known for putting on some of the fastest and most competitive races in the state. King Racing continues to work hard to help grow the sport of cycling. Ginny King, 3-time National Masters Champion, is excited to bring this first-ever Memorial Weekend Criterium to Lewisville and is looking forward to this event being highly competitive and entertaining.

Friday night racing will start at 5 p.m., and finish with the elite men and women class. Saturday morning racing will start at 9 a.m., and will finish by 2 p.m. The course at Music City Mall will offer a little of everything - sweeping turns, open fast sections, and nice little "kicker" hill. The competition schedule is tentatively set as:

Friday, May 27
5 p.m. - Men 4/5, 40 min
5:50 p.m. - Men 3/4, 50 min
6:50 p.m. - Masters*, 50 min
7:50 p.m. - Women 1/2/3 & 4/5**, 45 min
8:45 p.m. - Men 1/2/3, 60 min

Saturday, May 28
9 a.m. - Masters*, 50 min
10 a.m. - Men 4/5, 40 min
10:50 a.m. - Men 3/4., 50 min
11:50 a.m. - Women 1/2/3/4/5, 45 min
12:45 p.m. - Men 1/2/3, 60 min

* Masters: race together but scored separately by age group 40-49, 50-59, 60+
** Women: race together but scored separately by skill-classification

All juniors, race age 18 and under, are $30 for each registered event
Adults are $55 through noon May 26, $70 onsite/late registrations. Additional adult race registrations, per day, are $30.
