SEATTLE, June 18, 2024 - Seabourn,the leader in ultra-luxury cruising and expedition travel, has unveiled the top 10 reasons to explore Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic on board Seabourn Venture in 2025. From scenic cruising among breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife encounters to expert-led expeditions and cultural immersion, the line's ultra-luxury, purpose-built expedition ship promises immersive explorations in some of the most beautiful and uninhabited fjords in the Arctic.
In May 2025, Seabourn Venture will provide in-depth expedition experiences throughout Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland, surrounding guests with glittering towers of ice; offering in-depth, cultural shore excursions; and exploring East Greenland at some of the most beautiful and uninhabited fjords in the world. Starting August 2025, the ship will set sail again for the legendary Northwest Passage with two special journeys through the Canadian Arctic between Greenland and Alaska.

The top 10 reasons to experience Seabourn's Arctic include the following:
Svalbard, Greenland & Iceland
Seabourn Venture will sail to Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland on voyages designed for guests who like to carve their own path in incredibly remote destinations. Highlighted experiences include a driving tour of Lake Mývatn near Akureyri, home to Goðafoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland; an included walking tour of Qaqortoq in southwest Greenland; and an optional exploration of the ice sculptures of Iceland's Lofthellir Cave, formed naturally through thousands of years of dripping water; and scenic cruising through the glittering icebergs of Svalbard, allowing guests to search for wildlife such as polar bears, beluga whales, humpback whales, seals, walrus and more.
Seabourn Venture will offer itineraries of eight to 26 days in length to Svalbard from mid-May to mid-June in 2025, between Reykjavik and Edinburgh or roundtrip from Edinburgh. The ship will also offer a 12-day voyage to explore Greenland from Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq in late July 2025. Both voyages will include pre- and/or post-cruise charter hotel stays in Edinburgh or Reykjavik.
Northwest Passage
Departing August 6 and then August 27, Seabourn Venture will offer two back-to-back, 23-day voyages across the legendary Northwest Passage, inviting guests to follow the footsteps of seafarers and explorers who carved their way through this historic route. Seabourn's onboard historians and archeologists will share stories of the triumphs and tragedies of the famous expeditions of Franklin and Amundsen. Expedition experiences include an Arctic Circle Trail Hike in Sisimiut, Greenland; and a walk through the Sermermiut Valley to the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre in Ilulissat, Greenland.

Canadian Arctic
Guests can also experience the Canadian Arctic and Labrador, during a 15-day voyage departing August 18 from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to St. John's, Newfoundland. During the voyage, guests will spend two days in the Torngat Mountains National Park: a pristine Arctic wilderness preserving rich indigenous heritage and breathtaking fjords. Other highlights include visiting the abandoned community at Hebron to learn about the Moravian missions, exploring the first Viking settlement in North America at L'Anse aux Meadows, and experiencing thriving Inuit culture in Pangnirtung and Nain.
