​Shreve Ridge Road Bridge Closure Scheduled in Bloomfield Township, Crawford County

Repairs to the bridge that carries Shreve Ridge Road (Route 1039) over Mosey Run in Bloomfield Township, Crawford County will start next week.

The project includes reconstruction the walls of the bridge deck. The work will be done by employees from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Crawford County office.

In connection with the work, the bridge will be closed beginning on April 15, 2024, weather permitting. A detour will be posted using Lake Road (Route 1024) and Danner Drive (Route 1026).

It is expected to reopen in mid-May 2024.

The bridge was built in 1941 and is rated in fair condition. It is used by approximately 500 vehicles a day, on average.
