Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian sent a message to Hungary's top diplomat expressing his condolences on the death of the deputy ambassador of the Hungarian Embassy in Tehran.

The text of the message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs is as follows:

H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó,

Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary,

I am saddened and moved by the news of the death of Mr. Károly Szárdi, the deputy ambassador of the Hungarian Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During his mission in Tehran, he played a valuable role in advancing friendly relations between our two countries.

While expressing my condolences and sympathies, along with my colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to your Excellency and the members of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Tehran, and especially to his respected family, I wish the soul of the deceased divine mercy and eternal peace.
