The Head of State met with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola: 'The EU Parliament has always been on the side of our citizens'

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met today with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. On this occasion, the head of state thanked the official for the support given to the Republic of Moldova.

"Ms Metsola, nice to meet you in European Moldova! I was happy to greet the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in Chișinău, and to participate, together with our citizens, in the "European Moldova" Assembly. On behalf of all citizens, I thanked President Metsola for the support that the European legislature has given to the Republic of Moldova over time.

"Both Moldovans and the European Union - together we want and work to bring Europe home and guarantee the irreversible European course of our country", said President Maia Sandu.

The head of state also mentioned that: "The European Parliament has always been on the side of our citizens, and today we received assurances that Moldova is awaited in the European family, and we will benefit from all the support. A European Moldova means a free and prosperous country for all the people of Moldova, for our parents and our children."
