W(I)TF? Scott Perry Reintroduces Bill to Defund Pennsylvania Public Media Outlets

Last week, vulnerable Republican Scott Perry reintroduced a bill to defund public broadcasting, including Central Pennsylvania's local National Public Radio station, WITF.

But, new polling reveals that, across the country, 59% of Americans in swing districts believe House Republicans, like Scott Perry, are focused on the wrong issues. While Democrats are more trusted to "protect abortion rights, make health care and prescription drug costs more affordable, and protect consumers," Republicans are busy protecting the wealthy and well-connected, ignoring the needs of middle class families.

This isn't the first time Perry has put his extreme agenda ahead of the needs of his constituents. Perry was instrumental in the attempt to overturn the 2020 election, supports legislation to ban abortion and outlaw IVF nationwide, and has been the lone member of the Pennsylvania delegation to stand in the way of broad bipartisan legislation that protects veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and middle-class families.
