IT’S KIND OF DELICIOUS AND WONDERFUL: GLENMORANGIE INVITES YOU TO STEP INTO ITS TECHNICOLOUR WORLD IN EDINBURGH THIS FESTIVE SEASON

Announcing the arrival of the wonder hotline pop-up at St James Quarter and delicious cocktails across some of the capital's best bars.

Glenmorangie is inviting the public to step into its technicolour world this month in Edinburgh as the Highland single malt Scotch whisky brings in the festive season across some of the capital's top bars with a measure of deliciousness, a dash of wonder and a journey of intrigue.

Elevating Glenmorangie into the capital's season of celebration will be 20 of the city's best bars. From the hidden gem that is Nightcap and the intimate style of Hey Palu, to the eclectic charm of Hoot The Redeemer, the playful sophistication of Commons Club and the relaxed fun of Eve both at Virgin Hotel, to the speakeasy cool of Bramble and the reimagined opulence of Superico…plus a number of other drinking hotspots across the city…delicious and wonderful Glenmorangie cocktails will be calling the senses.

Also timed to signal the start of the festive countdown, and transforming an everyday experience into a magical moment, is the arrival of the Wonder Hotline; an immersive pop-up appearing at St James Quarter from Thursday 16th until Saturday 18th November, 2023.

The Wonder Hotline installation playfully transforms the classic British phone box into an imaginative whisky adventure, decorated in Glenmorangie's bold signature orange, saturated further with kaleidoscopic colour, and bursting with fun. Adding extra fantastical décor to the pop-up is renowned Edinburgh florist Fruit Salad who have created an unexpected tropical oasis of sculptural floralscapes and living walls. The Glenmorangie Wonder Hotline will be located at Register Square, accessed via the main entrance of St James Quarter on Leith Street, and is open to the public on Thursday 16th from 2pm - 8pm, and Friday 17th and Saturday 18th from 12pm - 8pm.

Ring ring. Across three unmissable days, adventure-seeking pedestrians who are passing the pop-up are invited to pause and answer the ringing Wonder Hotline telephone. Upon lifting the receiver, a live voice-actor will guide the inquisitive listener on the other end of the phone through a series of entertaining prompts, while the phone box lighting dramatically shifts from vibrant orange to moody hues.

After a series of short witty interactions with the live voice on the Wonder Hotline, the bemused listener will be invited to strike a pose in the seriously Instagrammable orange phone box. A Glenmorangie coin is dispensed to the guest thereafter which they can exchange for a delicious Glenmorangie cocktail on-site at the striking Wonder Lounge; either a Delicious Old Fashioned (with Glenmorangie Original) or a Decadent Old Fashioned (with Glenmorangie Lasanta).

The Wonder Lounge in St James Quarter is also open as a wondrous pit stop to the public who wish to purchase a Glenmorangie bottled cocktail, as well as presenting a Tarot experience which is sure to deliver an enigmatic reading of the fun and frivolity ahead this festive season.
