What is your job as the Services Sexual Assault Response Coordinator?
Krista Nawrocki recently became The Defense Logistic Agency Disposition Services-Document Services Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. She is stationed at the agencies headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan but serves the worldwide workforce.

My job as the SARC is to support and advocate for the victim, provide referrals and information, and to provide training and awareness to the workforce.

How long have you worked for the federal government including military service?
I have proudly worked for DLA Disposition Services for 15 years, in August.
What is your favorite thing about your line of work?
I love our mission and taking care of the employees of DLA Disposition Services and now Document Services too, so they can provide for the warfighter.
What is the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Always be honest in life and true to yourself.
What are some of the common ways people show support and raise awareness of sexual assault prevention throughout the month of April?
Together our worldwide workforce can participate in Teal Tuesday by wearing something teal, the designated color for sexual assault awareness. In our communities we can engage in group discussions, workshops, and educational programs focused on consent and awareness.
Why is awareness important?
Awareness is crucial in sexual assault prevention because it helps break the silence surrounding the issue, reduces stigma for survivors, and educates communities on how to recognize and prevent sexual violence. By raising awareness, individuals are empowered to speak out against sexual assault, support survivors, and advocate for policies and resources that promote prevention, safety, and respect.

It's NOT your fault that this happened to you!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Lawyer, I love when justice is served.
Who is your hero?
My Dad, He was the most humble, wise person I ever knew, despite the fact he had an eighth-grade education. He helped and sponsored many people in Alcoholics Anonymous to stay sober and changed their lives forever, by just believing in them!
What are your hobbies?
Interpreting for the deaf, camping, boating, and cooking.
