Village of Southampton - Negative Declaration for Bridgehampton Beach Erosion Control District (BECD) Beach Renourishment

Suffolk County - The Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bridgehampton Beach Erosion Control District (BECD) Beach Renourishment will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a project by the Bridgehampton BECD, the Sagaponack BECD and the Town of Southampton, to undertake beach renourishment by dredging more than 2,310,000 cubic yards of sand, from offshore borrow areas, in order to restore the shoreline by deposit 1,120,000 cubic yards of sand along the Bridgehampton BECD shoreline, with the remaining 1,190,000 to be deposited on the Sagaponack BECD shoreline. The project is located at 116 Hampton Road in the Village of Southampton, New York.
