Input Needed to Calm Traffic and Enhance Safety on Lake Washington Boulevard

Seattle Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation, created preliminary design concepts to calm traffic, enhance safety, and improve access on Lake Washington Boulevard from Mount Baker Beach to Seward Park. The design concepts were informed based on a combination of community input and traffic data. We encourage everyone who visits and travels along Lake Washington Boulevard to provide their input through this online survey:

https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/LWBdesignconcepts.

The survey and materials are available in English, Vietnamese, Somali, Amharic, Korean, Tagalog, Chinese, and Spanish. Please visit the survey and provide your feedback on the proposed traffic calming and safety improvements. The survey closes on Sunday, May 12.

The proposed design concepts for the Lake Washington Boulevard Renovations Project includes new marked crossings to improve access to park amenities along the lakeshore, speed cushions throughout the corridor to calm vehicle speeds, connecting pathways, and intersection redesigns to enhance safety.

The project team will be attending the following meetings to discuss the project with the community:

It is important for us to meet the community where they are. If you host, coordinate, or attend a standing community organization or neighborhood association meeting, let us know and we can come to you.
