Subway Line 3 Scheduled to Commence Operations in September, Offering Direct Access to Chaoyang Railway Station

Chaoyang Railway Station is one of the seven railway hubs of Beijing. This year, Beijing will make every effort to advance its construction, with a plan to complete the railway station by September. At that time, Beijing Subway's Line 3 will be put into operation, and will significantly alleviate the traffic pressure around Chaoyang Railway Station.

The renovation project of Shuangxinqiao Area at the intersection of Yaojiayuan North Street and the East 4th Ring Road is underway. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of June. Once the renovation is finished, traffic diversion will be feasible on Yaojiayuan North Street and the East 4th Ring Road. The lanes of the auxiliary roads will then be widened simultaneously, making the entry to and the exit from Chaoyang Railway Station more convenient and efficient.

In addition, road construction will be accelerated along Yaojiayuan North Street (Chaoyang Sports Center Section), which will extend to and run over the East 5th Ring Road before the operation of Subway Line 3. When completed, it will become another major east-west diversion road to the north of Chaoyang Railway Station.
