Nomination period open for 2024 Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence

Hey Seawolves,

It's that time of year again! The nomination period is open for this year's Chancellor's Awards for Excellence. I invite you to nominate your colleagues at UAA and across our community campuses to recognize them for the great work they're doing every day.

We are accepting nominations from all UAA campus locations in five categories. Each award category will recognize recipients from both the Anchorage campus and a community campus.

We Put Students First: The Students-First Award
Demonstrates exceptional commitment to advancing a culture of institutional excellence that inspires and enables student achievement and success.

We Create a Culture of Equity and Inclusion by Embracing Our Diversity: Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Outstanding contribution to the advancement of diversity of UAA students, staff and faculty by increasing the visibility and representation of diverse voices through creating an atmosphere of inclusivity and community.

We Advance Innovation: The Research and Creative Activity Award
Outstanding contribution to growth in research, creative activity and commercialization at UAA with impacts that benefit our state and communities.

We Accelerate Excellence Through Continuous Improvement: The Administrative Excellence Award
Exercises leadership, initiative and outstanding teamwork capabilities that create a positive atmosphere and consistently performs at a level above normal job requirements to advance a culture of institutional excellence that inspires and enables student, faculty and staff success.

Philanthropic Excellence: The Chancellor's Choice Award
This year the Chancellor's Choice award highlights individuals who advance philanthropic giving to UAA. Let's celebrate those who build community partnerships and show leadership and stewardship with donors.

Nominations close on Friday, May 10, so be sure to nominate your faculty or staff colleagues today! Together we can highlight the great work that happens in classrooms, labs, in the field, inside offices, in conference rooms and on campus grounds across UAA.
