Take a Stroll Along the Gilbert Hope Walk

Gilbert, Ariz. - The Gilbert Hope Walk provides a new way for the community to find peace and inspiration among the natural beauty of the Riparian Preserve.

Several new signs have been installed along the preserve's .75-mile walking loop that offer mental health tips and words of inspiration.

A new desert-inspired mural, near the midpoint of the trail, offers a place where visitors can pause and reflect.

The goal of the new permanent exhibit is to increase mental health awareness and provide hope to visitors of the Riparian Preserve.

The Gilbert Hope Walk was a collaboration between the Gilbert Leadership Program (Class 31), Gilbert Parks & Recreation and the Gilbert Parks & Recreation Foundation.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues or suicidal thoughts, visit 988lifeline.org. There is someone available to talk on the phone or via chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
