The annual night sky viewing party has returned to Pipestone National Monument. Join us Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. for an evening of star gazing and learning.

Dr. Grau, of Augustana University, and Dr. Vondruska, of SDSU, will set up their telescopes in front of the Visitor Center to show visitors the night sky up close and answer questions.

This is a relaxed event - bring a lawn chair or throw down a blanket and see your park after dark with the whole family!

Free hot cocoa, cider, and star snacks (while supplies last).

This event is free and open to the public. Nighttime views and environments are among the critical park features the National Park Service protects. Learn more at https://www.nps.gov/subjects/nightskies.
