Malcolm X College's Radiography program prepares students for in-demand careers in the x-ray field. However, even before earning their degrees, four students are already getting a glimpse of success.
Gurluv Singh, Avery Mazor, Gabriel Maldonado, and Anthony Guadarrama (featured from left to right in the photo) scored first place in the student scholar bowl at the Illinois State Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference in Bloomington, Illinois, earlier this month. From April 3rd to 5th, the group competed against nine other teams from radiography programs across the state. They were tested on topics they have learned throughout the program.
Even though all four students still have one semester left in the program, they put in extra time to prepare and study for the competition. They outscored many students who are completing their degrees this semester.
