'Native Tree Rescue' Papakura Stream Restoration – EcoFest

Join Conservation Volunteers NZ on our Papakura Stream Restoration Project. On this day, we will be caring for thousands of native trees and shrubs that have recently been planted by releasing them from strangling weeds. CVNZ will provide all the required tools and equipment and experienced leaders keen to share their knowledge of native fauna and flora.

This event will go ahead rain or shine; however, in the case of severe weather, we email those that have registered to inform them of any cancellations.

What to wear: Please wear sturdy, comfortable footwear and preferably something you don't mind getting muddy (gumboots, hiking shoes, work boots, trainers), appropriate outdoor clothing (lightweight, long-sleeved clothing and trousers are encouraged to protect yourself from cuts, and scratches and insect bites/stings).

What to bring: Please bring a hat, waterproof jacket, sunblock, a snack, water, and any medication you may need (hayfever medication, inhalers, etc.). We will have extra water, sunblock, snacks, and insect repellent with us on the day.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival from Saturday 18 March - Sunday 16 April 2023. EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust, and Waiheke Resources Trust are teaming up to collectively showcase all that Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer in the sustainability space.
