Media advisory: Grand opening ceremony at Dallas Fire-Rescue Station 59

Fire Station 59 opened for emergency response operations on Friday, July 8, 2022. This newest addition to our inventory of fire stations was constructed from funds approved in the 2017 Bond Program, and will house Truck 59, Engine 59, and Rescue 59.

Standing at 13,756 square feet, on 1 acre of land, the station was erected with modern design features, including a transition zone for firefighter and bunker gear decontamination, energy efficient lighting and controls, and featuring roof access for rescue training. These are but a few of the innovative design features of the fire station. Fire Station 59 will also be the new home to DFR's Swift Water Rescue Team.
