Syphilis Testing for Pregnant Individuals - State Public Health Order

Are you pregnant? Starting April 25, your healthcare provider must offer you a syphilis screening during your first and third trimester, as well as at the time of delivery.

This offering is mandated by a new statewide Public Health Order 24-01, which was announced by Governor Polis in response to an increase in congenital syphilis cases in babies in Colorado.
