Man Arrested in Threatening Investigating,
Kipling Avenue and Bloor Street West area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Threatening investigation.

On Monday, April 15, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., police responded to a call for threatening in the Kipling Avenue and Bloor Street West area.

It is alleged that:

  • the suspect was loitering around a school in the area
  • the suspect engaged in conversation with students
  • the suspect swore and threatened students and staff
  • police were called and the suspect was arrested

Jonathan Taft, 44, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with:

  1. three counts Uttering Threats
  2. two count Cause Disturbance
  3. Breach Probation Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 107.
