The Office of Multicultural Student Success proudly observes Native American Heritage Month, paying tribute to the rich traditions, cultural heritage, and invaluable contributions of Native American communities. This month, we honor the Indigenous people who have who have been living and working on this land for centuries, the land on which we now live, work and learn. The University of Toledo acknowledges this history in its land acknowledgment and is committed to celebrating the enduring legacy and presence of Native Nations.

OMSS will host another field trip to the Toledo Museum of Art, which offers a profound look into the history and artistry of Indigenous peoples. This event is free, with transportation provided for those who RSVP on InvoNet to secure their spot.

Additionally, in a cross-collaboration with Recreational Services and Toledo Athletics, the UToledo community is invited to a free screening of "Rez Ball" on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center. "Rez Ball" follows a season in the life of a team of underdogs from a Native American reservation as they compete for a state championship. Directed by Sydney Freeland ("Drunktown's Finest") and co-written with Sterlin Harjo ("Reservation Dogs"), this powerful story is produced by LeBron James. Join us for obstacle courses, snacks, giveaways and a thrilling sports story you won't want to miss.
