Gooseberry Hill fatal crash

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Gooseberry Hill on Wednesday, 22 May 2024.

About 8.40pm, a blue Toyota Corolla hatchback with three occupants, was travelling on Williams Street, when the vehicle left the road and rolled several times before hitting a tree.

The driver, a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male passenger, were airlifted by the RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of injuries they sustained in the crash.

A 16-year-old male passenger sustained critical injuries and was conveyed to Midland Hospital where he died a short time later.
