Minister Luigi di Maio met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio met with his Iranian counterpart, Javad Zarif, on 17 May at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The talks focused on the situation in the Middle East, international security issues (JCPOA) and regional issues. The agenda also included bilateral relations between Italy and Iran and political, cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries. Lastly, there was also a debate on human rights.
