Join us Saturday for a Community Ride to Celebrate Safety and Travel Improvements on Broadway

Denver - Representatives of the City and County of Denver and Broadway Merchants Association will join bike enthusiasts and advocates for safer streets in Denver for a community bike ride on Broadway's new two-way protected bikeway and a day of celebration and deals from participating businesses on the corridor.

Denver is celebrating the completion of the Broadway Multimodal Improvement Project which added a protected bike lane from 7th to Center avenues - an important new north/south connection in the city's bike network. The project also added infrastructure to make Broadway a safer and more comfortable place for people walking and driving. Improvements include shorter pedestrian crossings, curb ramp upgrades and new traffic signals.

11 a.m. Participants meet at 7th Ave and Logan St to ride down the South Broadway bike lane together.

11:30 a.m. Ride finishes at Illegal Pete's at 270 South Broadway; city/community representatives address those gathered.

12 p.m. - Fun along Broadway! Patronize some of the amazing shops and restaurants along Broadway.
