The URL participates in Milan in an international scientific colloquium on Artifical Inteligence

The meeting brought together more than 80 professors and researchers from the eight SACRU universities in Milan to discuss AI from a multidisciplinary point of view and how universities will react to a context change characterizing the educational globally. SACRU Catholic Universities look with confidence at the role of AI after the conference and are committed to using this technology to improve the quality of their activity (read more information about IA contributions).

The Colloquium was opened by the keynote lecture of Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education. The outcome of these two days of discussion will be a position paper to be published by the end of the year, which will formalize the Universities' positions and proposals (more information about the lecture).

Taking advantage of the meeting, the Governing Board of the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU) met on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, under the chairmanship of SACRU President and Australian Catholic University Vice-Chancellor and President Prof. Zlatko Skrbis.

In addition, Prof. Pier Sandro Cocconcelli, Vice Rector of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, was confirmed as the Secretary-General of SACRU for the term 2023-2026.
