Representatives of Nihongo Partners in Thailand under the Japan Foundation paid a courtesy call on Ambassador

On 15 August 2023, Dr. SATO Yuri, Executive President, Japan Foundation, along with representatives of Nihongo Partners paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, to report on the outcome of Nihongo Partners project.

The Nihongo Partners project is aimed at providing assistance to local Japanese language teachers in teaching Japanese language by Japanese volunteers in 10 ASEAN countries, China and Taiwan. Since 2014, there have been more than 3,000 Japanese volunteers participated in this project. The 10th batch of 48 Nihongo Partners was dispatched to Thailand from May 2022 to February 2023. The two representatives from the said batch reported their experiences in Thailand to the Thai Ambassador.

Through their assistance, the Nihongo Partners Project contributes to the deeper understanding of Japanese and host country's culture and closer relations between peoples of the two countries.
