Novato Spectrum Safety Event on April 20

Novato Parks & Recreation and Novato First Responders invite members of our adaptive needs community, and their families, to a galaxy far, far away. The fun takes place at Pocket Park, 950 7th Street on Saturday, April 20 from 12pm - 2pm.

The Novato Spectrum Safety Event focuses on connecting our adaptive needs community to our first responders, and other valuable resources in our City and County, to continue to build strong relationships within our community. The event will feature out-of-this-world activities geared specifically for participants with adaptive needs provided by local partner agencies who directly support the adaptive needs community.

"Our team always looks forward to creating unique and enriching Novato Fun experiences for our community," said Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director Katie Gauntlett. "What makes this event special is that we've come together with our local partners to craft an event with sensory-friendly activities to help foster connections with our adaptive needs community."

Please note: This event is curated for individuals with physical or cognitive adaptive needs and will not include loud music, bright lights or overly stimulating sensory activities. While service animals are welcome, we kindly ask that you leave pets at home.

To reserve your spot for this free event, send a direct message to @NovatoFun on Instagram or email them at [email protected].

The Novato Fun doesn't end there. Be sure to check out our new adaptive playground at Pioneer Park - the first of its kind in Marin. The park features two new play structures thoughtfully designed to foster inclusive play for children of all abilities.
