The 'Ten Part Spirit Safe' connects to the special laboratory at Port Ellen where the distillery's resident technician will meticulously analyse and catalogue the full range of new spirit variations, eventually opening up exciting new opportunities for whisky-lovers to try unique new whiskies.

Port Ellen will also be carbon neutral from the start, with every part of the distillation process optimised so that water and heat are both recycled, and all energy produced by a renewable-biofuel boiler.
