This month, Shakespeare North Playhouse is celebrating the Bard's Birthday with a jam-packed open day! There will be drop in sessions and workshops for all ages to get involved with.

And for the rest of the month there's plenty of other shows, events and performances you can to enjoy.

Open Day
Saturday 27 April
A jam-packed open day brimming with workshops, drop-in sessions, crafts and activities for all ages to enjoy. From theatre masterclasses with renowned Shakespearean practitioner Ben Crystal, to poetry workshops, all the way to storytelling with giants - there's something for everyone.

The School For Scandal
Tuesday 30 April - Saturday 4 May *Tickets: £11.20 - £30
This timeless comedy is a masterclass in social satire. Reimagined into the 20th century and featuring an unforgettable cast of larger-than-life characters, each armed with a lacerating wit, The School for Scandal is one of the greatest comedies ever written.

Twelfth Night
Friday 7 June - Saturday 29 June, *Tickets: £18.40 - £38
Headlining the Cockpit Stage this summer, the brilliantly bold Not Too Tame return with an electrifying production of Twelfth Night, starring Les Dennis as Malvolio. The company that brought you A Midsummer Night's Dream return with their unique brand of high octane theatre in a hilarious yet heart-breaking tale of unrequited love.

Young Writers Club
Saturday 2 March - Thursday 25 April *Tickets: £5
Are you the next Will Shakespeare? This club will inspire your creative writing. With different fun activities to spark your scribbles in each session, you can come to as many as you like!

Baby Bards
Tuesdays & Thursdays *Tickets: Pay What You Decide (£5-£30)
An Early Years session introducing story, letters and phonics through readings and fun activities, your babies will be bards in no time!

Shared Writing
Thursday 7 March - Thursday 2 May *Tickets: £5
The writing group is a friendly space to meet regularly and share in the process together, with no pressure to read your work aloud.

Shakespeare North Life Drawing
Saturday 20 April - Saturday 29 June. *Tickets £10.
Bi-weekly life drawing sessions in spaces across the venue, suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists.

Shakespeare North: A Guided Tour
Tuesday 6 April - Friday 20 December. *Tickets from £7.60
Each tour will last around 1 hour 15 minutes and will give you the chance to explore the award-winning venue, diving deep into the heritage, the rich history of Prescot and its links to Shakespeare.
