City of Dallas Small Business Center Launches Inaugural Mentor Protégé Program

DALLAS - The City of Dallas Small Business Center, a trailblazer in community support, proudly announces the launch of its inaugural 2024 Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) on May 2,2024. The program aims to stimulate the growth of local Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (M/WBE) by nurturing partnerships and increasing the overall success of small businesses in Dallas, TX.

MPP facilities one-on-one mentoring relationships, workshops, training sessions, and meaningful participation in networking opportunities.

Key Features of the City of Dallas Small Business Center's Mentor Protégé Program:  

  1. Financial Stable Mentors:Prime Contractors with secured contracts in the City of Dallas or other municipalities, 1-3 years in business, and eager to provide guidance.
  2. Emerging Protege Businesses:M/WBE certified small business owners seeking training and knowledge to grow financial capacity to secure contracting opportunities.

"The program aims to facilitate collaboration between seasoned businesses (mentors) and smaller enterprises (protégés), fostering their ability to excel as prime contractors or subcontractors in various contracting opportunities," JoyceWilliams, Director of Small Business Center.
