Posted: Thursday 28 March 2024

Federation University Australia Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Reconciliation, and Co-Chair Reconciliation Victoria, Professor Andrew Gunstone, is set to release his highly anticipated book, "Reflections on the Voice - during and after the campaign," in April 2024.

This groundbreaking publication delves into the crucial aspects of reconciliation, including Indigenous rights, truth-telling, and addressing racism, providing valuable insights into Australia's ongoing national reconciliation journey in a post-Referendum environment.

Professor Gunstone spearheads reconciliation efforts across the institution. In February 2023, he established the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice, and has recruited five Indigenous academics to the Centre. His expertise in reconciliation has made him a sought-after advisor to corporates, industry, governments, community organisations, and academia.

The book launch event promises to be an enlightening evening. Renowned Indigenous leader, Dr Jackie Huggins AM FAHA, will launch Professor Gunstone's book. With over four decades of national leadership, Dr. Huggins brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the discussion. The event will also feature a panel discussion with Dr Huggins and Professor Gunstone, moderated by Uncle Charles Pakana, on the post-Referendum reconciliation movement.

The book launch will take place at Readings Carlton, located at 309 Lygon St, Carlton, on April 11, starting at 6.30pm. the event is free, but attendees need to register. For more information and to register for the book launch event, please visit the event registration page.
